Sir Alex happy to shame Newcastle’s ancestors

Manchester United thrashed poor, old Newcastle United 5-1 at St. James’ Park in the Premiership on Saturday and United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is pretty much glad that his team are now just one win away from going level on points with leaders Arsenal at the top of the table.

Sir Alex is quoted as saying:

We were all disappointed with the performance against Manchester City and the players did their best to atone for that against Arsenal last week and in midweek against Lyon, which was a very good result. And today stresses the urgency to try to do better and be top of the league.

Indeed, the style in which Arsenal played against the Geordies was certainly a class act and exhibited lots of passion and coherence among the players. Arsenal beware, here march the Red Devils!
