It is reported that Middlesbrough striker Lee Dong-Gook shall remain at the Riverside even after this summer. The 28-year old South Korean was signed by Gareth Southgate in January 2007 but the striker has failed to cut the grades in the Premiership.
Dong-Gook has scored just two goals in 29 matches for Boro and was almost confirmed to his native club Pohang Steelers in the summer. But now it has been reported that the Korean player shall stay at Boro next season too.
Not that he would get many chances. Middlesbrough have signed Brazilian international Alfonso Alves in January and he will certainly be favoured by Southgate.
