Chelsea captain John Terry, the heartbeat of the Stamford Bridge club, reckons that even on a bad day his Chelsea teammates should have wiped the floor with Spurs, which begs the question – what on earth happened on Sunday lads? The Telegraph reports that Terry said:
“On a bad day we should be good enough to beat Tottenham.
“No disrespect to them but we have got a lot of talent. I am bitterly disappointed. These chances don’t come along very often and it is down to myself, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba to pick people up and get everyone going.”
Chelsea gaffer Avram Grant clearly subscribed to John Terry’s views, opting to faff around with his lineup, playing Anelka on the wing, and almost daring his team to have a ‘bad day’!
