Bad news for Tottenham Hotspur. They are set to miss their centre-back Jonathan Woodgate for Saturday’s English Premier League match against Birmingham City at White Hart Lane with an ankle injury.
Well, I guess Spurs fans might be a bit apprehensive about this injury to Woodgate but you need not worry. It is just a small injury carried over from last weekend’s Carling Cup win over Chelsea and isn’t at all a long-term problem.
With Europe and a trophy sewn up, Spurs may actually just be playing it cautious rather than pushing their two star, but fragile, centre backs too much.
