Fulham striker confident of Premiership survival

Fulham are 4 points from safety and in all likelihood are doomed for Championship football next season. Yet for their striker Clint Dempsey there is still a corner for hope to flourish.

The American international striker says that the Cottagers can still manage to escape the dreaded drop at the end of the season. He insists:

The reason you come to the England is to play in the Premier League.

It’s one of the best leagues in the world and you want to be around that environment week in, week out. You can’t really panic. All you can do is go out there and work as hard as you can.

I think we’ll be out of relegation and I think you’ll see Fulham in the Premier League next season.

For the most part the team is together. We joke around a lot and everyone seems to get on well with each other.

But somehow a neutral cannot believe him at this stage. Although Fulham are not alone to be sucked in the relegation mire and have the experienced Roy Hodgson to manage them, they are still low on morale and the players are performing poorly.
