Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have already reached the last 8 of the UEFA Champions League this season and Liverpool should thread their way into the quarter-finals next week. The Big Four of the Premiership are being tipped to reach the semi-finals of this season’s European Cup and Portsmouth manager Harry Rednapp finds the prospect very much possible.
Redknapp says that be believes that any one of the Big Four will win the competition this season and says:
I can’t see an English team not winning it. The only danger is Barcelona. ‘Roma? Manchester United were on a different planet to them when they beat them 7-1 last season.
Indeed it does seem that any one of the Premiership sides would win it. FC Barcelona are the biggest threat to that dream, although can the others can be dismissed?
