The Sun reckons that Spanish striker David Villa is set to jump the Valencia ship and swim for the safety of either Chelsea or Man Utd – whichever can give him the more bulbous wad of cash better footballing environment. According to the tabloid journos at the Sun, the Valencia hitman will spark a scramble between Chelsea and Man Utd after these comments:
“As is only right, I need to think about my future and I am open to any solution.
“I will take into consideration all the offers that I am made, obviously with the blessing of the club where I am under contract.”
Three points, this is you bog standard come and get me and should be regarded as such, and Mr Villa could just be fishing for suitors in order to get a fat contract extension. And thirdly, hasn’t every news source worth its salt just reported that Spurs and Chelsea are hunting Villa?
