Whilst sifting through the erudite musings of the Daily Mail sports journos I stumbled over the fact that Rafa Benitez is running the rule over Middlesbrough’s Lee Cattermole, a player seemingly plagued by a miasma of hype – and one that has been hailed as the new Steven Gerrard.
The 19-year-old midfielder is valued at £5million – a bargain basement price for the next Stevie G – and with the Daily Mail bitchily claiming that Stevie
“has about five years left before his legs will bring an end to his box-to-box game”
Rafa Benitez will clearly be up for snapping up Cattermole.
