Liverpool’s furry chinned supremo Rafa B, has claimed that Red is the new Black and that Mascherano is the new Keane. Rafa B is clearly trying to scare the Ferg, but he’ll have to try much harder than this if he is trying to bait the red nosed Scot into a response – although Rafa deserves praise for mentioning Mascherano and Roy Keane in the same sentence.
Benitez gloated:
“United have signed two or three players in his position, sometimes paying more money than we did for Mascherano.
“We are happy with what we have. I don’t know if United are happy and I don’t know how interested United were in him, but we are really pleased. Mascherano has a fantastic mentality and is a good professional and he can be a key player for us over the next few years. He could be like Roy Keane. He is the same kind of player, a player with strong character. A leader. When you play in a foreign country the language is always important, and as Mascherano gets better with that he will improve as a player.”
Anyone think that taunting such a beast of a bully like Ferg is advisable?
