Arsenal lead the chase for Walcott II
March 26, 2008
Pacy winger who can play up front and has a taste of Championship football, we’ve been here before? Sean Scannell is an exciting young talent impressing many as he attempts to aid Crystal Palace’s play-off push and now it appears that the Premier League big hitters want to wrestle him from Selhurst Park.
Arsenal have reportedly beaten off competition from the likes of Newcastle for talented Crystal Palace teenager Sean Scannell (The Evening Chronicle)
The 17 year old is doing his best to push Neal Warnock’s team towards the top six but should their Premier League push fail then I guess the chances of Wenger persuading Simon Jordan to sell would be increased.

Got something to say?

Walcott 2?
You mean another over-hyped, over-rated, shite english footballer who will fail to live up to his undeserved repuation?
I don’t get you people who shit over Walcott all day long. Maybe he hasn’t yet lived up to the next Henry expectations but he has been better then all of our wingers except Rosicky and Hleb. It actually would not surprise me if he has scored more then Rosicky and made more assists.
Just because he is not as good as Owen or Messi were at the same age does not mean that he is a bad player. You will eat those words in few years, mark my words.
I hope I will be eating my words. I want each and every Arsenal player to be a success but Walcott has given me no reason to believe he will be.
To say he’s been better than all our wingers except Hleb and Rosicky is a redundant statement because that would only leave Eboue. Diaby is not a winger (and technically, neither are the two you mentioned!). For him (Walcott) to be the only natural wide attacking player in the sqaud and still not delivering when required is downright embarassing.
You’ll all be expecting Theo to single-handedly win us the World Cup in 2010.
That’s why the majority of football ‘fans’ are fickle, know-nothings.
They are usually the ones who spend more time posting on blogs and forums than they do attending games.
But who needs to attend games when you can stream them for nothing or get daddy to pay for SKY?
