Forget Modric, Arsenal have a £5m Balkan midfield maestro on the cards!

March 26, 2008

Before anyone points it out, I know Zdravko has a Swiss passport but he is a Serbian international and therefore my Balkan reference is both intelligent and correct! Luka Modric it seems may be heading to Stamford Bridge but it seems that the Arsene Wenger is tailing another youngster to join his impressive array of midfielders.

Arsenal are set to edge Newcastle United for Fiorentina midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic (The Sun).

Maybe Kuzmanovic is a better buy than Luka anyway. For instance Modric is yet to show his class in a top level league whereas ZK (save me typing his name again and wearing out the Z on the keyboard) has a season of Serie A experience under his belt and an impressive season at that, where he has helped the Florence club to within sight of a Champions League spot.

How old is he? i think we need a subsitute for our injury prone Van Persie. Someone of that class. Buying young kids and eventually selling them is not gonna help us win trophies. Besides we seem to be losing the league cause of immaturity in the young players. You can’t lead the table all season and then give away the lead at the end!!! That’s really sickening as we should have even stepped up the gear!!!

I think wenger should try and buy exprience player to join the league of the young gunners that we have presently though they are good but will need more exprience palyers i think if wenger can get ben arfa and benzyma the team would be a better team also will need good defenders to join so please let mr wenger do something fast

Wenger already cost the title this season, I would be surprised if he continues to buy untestted players next season. We do not need any more young players to join apart from Vela who is already an Arsenal player, we need an experienced, impact player to win us those tight games like against chelsea. We saw what Drogba did albeit help from our defenders, but honestly that’s what we need. A player like Benzema, or Vucinic. We need to offload Eboue as fast as possible, and sign up Flamini to a long term contract.

Lets face it………… Arsene is scared of spending and failing!! If he fails with the kids all that will be said is that they have overperformed anyway and they need more time and experience!!

Arsene has failed big time by not spending last summer and in jJanuary when he had the chance to reinforce the squad for the run in to the title but no again he refuses to see the obvious, what has been plain to see for so many of us, that our squad is simply not good or strong enough.

I am also very concerned with his comments in advance of the summer, as he has already stated that he sees no need to strengthen the squad????? Can he really be so blind to the failings/limitations that are now so blatantly obvious??

Lets just hope that something drastic happens or we will continue the way we have for the last 3 years or maybe the sum of all our fears could even come to pass and we could seriously be under pressure for the top 4 spot as there are a number of clubs who are showing the potential to get in there….with sp*rs being one of them….much as we hate to have to admit it….they do look different under Ramos and he will buy in the summer you can bet to improve it even more…and I can’t even contemplate next year if they do start off well and we struggle…what a nightmare!!

Arsene should put the interest of the fans first by buying quality players, holding so much on young players and they dont deliver is of no use.fans raise the value of the company and the perception in entity,so they should come first.

nice name shitseswa. Never in my 25 years of life have I met a name more gangly than yours. anyway, spurs will be difficult to beat. They probably are going to replace one of the top four next season, the way things are going.

spurs are 11th, and no where near 10th, they conceeded 4 at home to chelsea and that means they’ll finish in the top four! lol.

i think villa, everton and man city will have something to say about that. everton are the best of the rest now.

Arsenal needs the consistency of Man Utd.Only experienced can bring that and march toward glory. No such ups and downs… We,the gunners fan,are surely disappointed with the inconsistency in the team.So Wenger… Please… Sign some superstars please…

LET’S GET SOMETHING STRAIGHT. WENGER WILL *NEVER* SIGN ARFA, BENZEMA, QUARESMA OR GOMES.

come next season i want to see natural wingers in arsenal, around two/three,i’m tired of seeing midifilders/defenders on wing with no eye for the goal.then we need another strong ,experienced striker who is not goal shy, creative with less minus while with the ball to strongly compete with Ade,as we wait for the recovery of mr.da silva.lastl but not least,we need an experienced stooper to deputise alumunia.lastly i feel we need to offload some players either for cash or on loan and give others a chance to prove themselves like denilson, song, etc
