   I am in full agreement, all of these can go, as a Liverpool season ticket holder i have to say that these guys haven’t got what it takes to wear a Liverpool shirt not if we are aiming to actually challenge for the title!

   I agree too..I think we need to break the bank this summer to sign two ‘flying’ wingers…Babel has potential but I’d give him another season. We need to look at winders who can run at defenses and cross the ball….if we could secure at least one, I’d be keen to keep Crouch and sell Kuyt instead!

   Looking at are full squad alot of players dont come close to the quality of torres, gerrard, Agger, Machcarano, Carragher, Pepe, and Babel. Lucas has bags of room to improve like bable as well.
   Can go:

   Kyut, crouch, risse, kewell, pennant, risse, intanja, Vornin, and carson. Just are in a lower divison compared. All of these players i have no problem offloading.

   Then the averge, and sometimes brilliant players come into the squad. Of Beneyoun, aurellio, arebeloa, and alonso. Again I have no problem waving good by, but they sholud stay a bit longer unless the right price comes along.

   Then the old legends fit into my third and final catoglorie, the old . Thats Hyppia, Finnan, and in three or two years time carragher. These players could stay or go or coach.

   i also believe old sami hyypia to be too old and slow to have, excellent person to have on the coaching for young talent coming through, but past his day.

   Martin.

   We have 4 strikers. You are going to sell three of them.

   We have 3 left backs (if you include Arbeloa), and you are selling all of them.

   By your calculations we are left with:

   Reina, Carson (Carson has already said he doesn’t want to be no.2)

   Finnan, Carrager, Skrtel, Agger

   Benayoun, Alonso, Mascherano, Lucas, Gerrard, Babel

   Torres.

   Now I’m probably wrong, but most title winning teams have at least two players for each position. Therefore we are going to buy

   A keeper, cos Carson will leave.

   4 defenders (about £25m seems to be the going rate)

   A RW and a LW, which are about £15m each at least

   3 strikers (at £10m at least)

   So we have an outlay of a minimum of £85m. At that is a minimum. Strikers at £10m aren’t the best. We need to be getting £20m strikers.

   I guess you are after a sugar daddy then!

   who says the youths aint good enough to give a try. if we buy 2 lb ,1 rw ,1 lw ,1 cf then bring though the youths cos next year we have 7 subs so can bring them along then when winning bring them on and bed them in.

   Rafa The Gaffer, whats your point? Would you rather have 4 strikers, where 3 are absolutely bad, or 2 unbelievably awesome strikers with 2 very decent english/hungarian youth strikers?

   Left backs, we can sell riise, but we should keep aurelio/arbeloa.

   GK’s we can sell carson as he will give us our biggest profit margin@ around 6-7mill. we have the bulgarian and itandje. so why worry about this position?

   pennant, we can keep. same with benayoun. i think theyd do a better job than kuyt.

   we urgently need to sell kuyt, i think we could probably get £4m for him his work rate is probably worth that much. we’ll get no money for voronin….but get him off the books.

   right back, we need improving. rafinha, richards, alves….get someone. we need an attacking right back.

   left wing, we need a crossing flying winger….possibly someone on the lines of david silva, quick, skillful and lots of flair.

   i’d say out of everything, getting rid of “i have started most games” dirk kuyt is the most important thing ever. if he stays. we’ll never win anything.

   In Rafa we Trust,

   Must agree with most reds fans here… BUT I thought Ryan Giggs ran all over us last week, therefore Arbeloa has serious Q’s for me, great squad player but… We had no width, so our wingers are also in question… Skertyl man marked brown so poorly that brown A) jumped over Skrtyl and B) scored over skrtyl…
   Aurellio did well fending Ronaldo…
   So, the leaves us with problems at fullback, right in particular and problems on the wings…
   Torres is getting hammered and unfortunately Manure have shown other teams how to stop Torres, take him out… The Italians were sure watching and took his ankle out….So we also need a second striker to foil Torres….
   To me we’re almost there but almost against Manure just doesn’t cut it… I hope our youngsters come on soon as we just cannot match Manure in transfers, that of Gerrard and Torres clone themselves…

   Down with the Toffees!!!!!!

    At todays prices their departures may buy 1 star striker and 1 star winger and a very handy defender but more needs to be spent after all we are talkin premiership glory.

    Id love to see a mass clear out this summer and bring in some top quality. Lets see if the Americans prove their word and give us the cash to splash. Rafa should be given one more season.

    We have Reina/Kulacksi and David Martin - Itandje should never be allowed to play for this wonderful club ever again

    In defence - Agger, Skyrtel and Carragher, along with Arbeloa and finnan. Im still not sure on Aurelio but maybe he could fight it out with Riise for a left wing position? This leaves us light at right back and im very interested in knowing whether Glen Johnson could be available.

    Midfield - Mascherano, Gerrard, Lucas and time for Spearing, Plessis to join the party. You will have noticed no wingers and thats because we need to buy a world class right winger and with Aurelio/Riise at left wing, maybe bring in another left winger in case those two dont make the grade (wait im coming to Babel in a minute). Pennant is good on his day but they dont happen very often and Benayoun well he a squad player.

    Attack - Babel and Torres should be up front together, their pace, strength, ability on the ball would scare most defenders. We could sell Crouch, Kuyt and Voronin. Id rather watch our youngsters (nemeth/browyer/Ellington) given a go and then if it doesnt work bring in a world class striker to partner Torres with babel moving back to left wing.

    Rafa loves the idea of rotating the squad but next seasonw e should just play our strongest team in the league each game and rotate it in Europe, makes more sense to me.

    I am afraid my fellow Liverpudlians are living in cloud cuckoo land if you think we will sort our problems out overnight firstly how much will Man U RE spend as well as the Chavs and Arse thats without spurs and newcastle Rafa needs to be savvy what wins the EPL is beating the lower teams and not getting beat by the top four how do we do that .speed in the wings full back and wingers an owl arse centre forward who can give it out to compliment Torres my choice would be Kevin Davies no one would bully him pace on the wings =pace pace pace someone like Mc geady who again will not be bullied Rafinha and heinze at the back either skirtel and agger and another to carry the ball Vincent Kompany and in the middle Esteban Cambiasso total cost

    Get rid of Kuyt, Veronin and Crouch. We need more top class firepower beside Torres. The strikers we have are all 2nd rate and Benitez needs to get real about Kuyt. He isn’t good enough and it’s embarrassing watching him in a red shirt.

    What if Torres gets injured? We’d be relying on Crouch for goals.

    We need new full backs who can attack and wingers better than Pennant and Kewell

    I guess i’m one of those dimwits then because Kuyt is the least talented footballer i’ve seen in a long time and i’ve seen and suffered Dundee, Meijer and Nunez. Get rid while he has value. I agree with most of the other misfits.
    I’d love to see Crouch and Benitez sort it out because he is a class act - you have to watch him closely to see his contribution but it’s immeasureable.
    I prefer not to start valuing players and pretending I have some kind of insight into their availability but of those I know have been looked at; we should try to get Huntelaar, Bentley and I feel Ramos might let Robbie Keane go to the right bidder.

    yes sadly for harry i agree on all, but first for the total clearout , the first question i ask myself is how many players that we have would make the starting eleven of man utd or chelsea , keep the ones that would and remove the rest to find a better balance for a shot at the title , without being one eyed there wouldnt be to many that would make there teams !

    All very good if you are playing footy manager or trying to asseble your dream team. however reality is a little different, Bentley is on a three year contract so wave goodbye to 15/20 Mill, not worth it. Walcott , i am not even gonna try to explain why we cant buy him, go figure. Everyone has their opinions about who we should buy but try to think who can we CAN buy. We are dwarfed on the market by the financial clout of Man Ure and Chelski, and as Arsenal prove a qaulity youth set up is esential THAT is what rafa is improving, year on year demanding clearouts is not gonna help. We have some below par players true, but everyone slated Evra and Vidic when they arrived at Man Ure and couldnt tackle my nan. Now look…. Patience is expensive but slow and steady improvements to our team will reap benefits. So we keep Crouch, keep Voronin keep Riise, keep Kuyt, keep Hyypia (now he has new contract anyways) and Itanje. Kewell anyone can have please, Players in Rafinha and 2 youth/reserves. Unless we get a sugar daddy…
