Things seem to be going better and better for Kevin Keegan on Tyneside, with three straight wins lifting Newcastle to safety and now they can push on and look to the summer with renewed optimism and Kevin has a number of top quality players in his sights as he aims to spend big to push the St James’ Park outfit in the right direction.

Even given Roy Keane’s pulling power and Martin O’Neill’s Celtic connections I would still consider Keegan to be leading the pack chasing given the size and grandeur of a Newcastle side looking to move up the table to a position more befitting it’s fans and history. 22 year old McGeady is an exciting player who may see his future away from the SPL and it surprises me that more clubs aren’t beating at his door for a move across the border.
