Moyes still believes that he can bag 4th!

Everton’s ginger Braveheart Davie Moyes still reckons that his boys can overtake Liverpool and bag fourth place for themselves - despite the fact that Liverpool have a veritable cakewalk of a run-in - with Everton still having to play Chelsea and Arsenal.
Although Rafa’s men got a surprise point against Arsenal at the Emirates, Everton beat Derby 1-0 to stay just three points behind (technically four points given Everton’s rancid goal difference).
Moyes said:
“We are optimistic, we believe we can still catch Liverpool.
“We are having to push them towards the end of the season, to keep them going. It has been a long, hard campaign.
“We can put pressure on Liverpool, and if we do that and win at Birmingham next weekend it will be our highest points tally in the Premier League, that is the first objective.”
Is Moyes in cloud cuckoo land - or do the Toffees have a realistic chance?

Moyes and Everton have as much chance of getting 4th as Portsmouth do of getting 5th. Should ‘Arry say that he still believes Pompey can get the 4th place, would you write a similar article? There are still games to play, therefore things can still change, as they so often do in Football. He would be an awful manager if he was to say that they have no chance of getting 4th. Lots of managers talk up their team. Why else would Benitez say that Liverpool can win the league every year. The difference being, Moyes talks with some belief.

Are you lot still spouting that Rubbish Ian? Thats yesterday’s news. Having said that, you come out every year saying you are gonna win the title and everyone else knows you are not good enough, so maybe if you aint gonna get over the fact you used to be good but not anymore, then calling us a small club helps you a little.
Plus, even if we do stay 5th, theres nothing wrong with optimism, Maybe your fans would have more faith in the fat spanish waiter if would try and push for third rather than keep 4th but no, so just because our manager is pushing to improve, don;t take it out on us because you have overspend and again under-achieved

Yep 4th place within our grasp. We only have Chelsea, Arsenal and Villa in 3 of our last 5 games so there is 1 point at the most. All we need is for Liverpool to drop 12 points in their last 5 games……
Moyesy, don’t you just love him? Moans about not spending money but then Wigan, Portsmouth, Millwall, West Ham, Middlesborough to name but a few have reached finals in recent years……
