Peter Crouch reckons his goalscoring appearance at the Emirates combined with his part in Liverpool’s sizzling win over the north Londoners at Anfield could force him back into Rafa’s plans. Until last week it looked like Rafa and his chinbeard sidekick didn’t fancy Crouch, but now things are looking rosy for the lanky striker.
“To be honest, it was a surprise to be playing. I thought the manager would play the same system we’ve been using recently. But he has changed it and I was delighted. Hopefully the season will be ending on a high and I’d like to think I might have turned a bit of a corner now.”
Is a Torres and Crouch strike partnership the way forward for Liverpool?
