It appears that the will-he-won’t-he saga of Didier Drogba leaving Chelsea is set to come to an end – hooray! The Daily Mail report that none other than Blues legend Gianluca Vialli has stated that the Ivorian will be joining a Milan club in the summer, finally bringing to an end the season-long speculation that the striker wants to leave Stamford Bridge. Do they know what they’re letting themselves in for (goals and tantrums)?
“Who will we see in Italy out of Drogba, [Dimitar] Berbatov and [Fernando] Torres? Without a doubt the former,” Vialli told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I have heard that he has already signed for a team from Milan that has vertical stripes on their jersey, with two colours, one of which is black.”
Oooh, cryptic Gianluca! Does the first word word have an e but not an a? The Premier League will certainly be a duller place without Drogba’s temper tantrums and constant harping to the press about how he wants to leave Chelsea and be with his
lover former manager Jose Mourinho. It appears his dream might shortly be about to come true.
