Guess which club is sniffing around Arsenal’s Flamini?
by Dexter on April 15th, 2008Teutonic bruisers Bayern Munich are looking to strengthen their squad this summer following their return to success this season. Flamini still hasn’t signed on the dotted line for the North Londoners, a fact that has alerted all the giants of the continental game: Juventus, AC Milan, and now Bayern Munich.
Bayern’s sporting director Uli Hoeness, with a very big nod and a wink aimed at the Emirates, said:
“Once again, we’re ready to bring in a high quality player. You don’t always need to spend millions. Sometimes players come on free transfers.”
Is there really a chance that Flamini could do the dirty on Arsenal and leave on a free or is this just a ploy to get Arsenal to offer him a better contract?

Would a swap of Lucio plus cash for Flamini be a bad deal ?

Fine Geoff, if it wasn’t for the fact that Flamini can leave for free in the summer!

Again, why did AW let Diarra go in January?

Flamini screwed Marsielle and he’ll screw us over too. Think he’s worth more than he is (bad agents).

In other threads discussing potential new world-class recruits virtually every position on the pitch has been covered, except defensive midfielder! So, if we are to assume Flamini’s departure this summer who are the candidates to replace him?

Anyone wish we had bought Hargreaves?
Joel - April 15th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Erm, Terry - Diarra insisted on leaving. That’s why. It’s really very simple.

Thanks. Joel.

There are plenty of players out there with the ability to do what Flamini does for under 10 Mil easy. I’d even go as far as to say that there’s a few of them waiting in the wings of the Under 18s. We also have Diaby who has so much potential and Denilson too. MORE pressing in my eyes is the need for a BIG and quick centreback to replace Senderos and oust Gallas.

you are in a dream land Kamiel, as a united fan, i was relieved when i heard flamini was out for the game this week because i knew the chances for a win just increased dramatically. if you think a player of his quality is around every corner then you are sadly mistaken…
