Since Kevin Keegan has returned to St James’ Park, he has been linked with just about every footballer on the planet – but the latest supposed target could actually make a lot of sense.
West Ham United are considering the sale of £10m rated England star Dean Ashton (The Mirror). Former Norwich hit-man Ashton is on the wanted lists of Newcastle United and Manchester City.
Ashton is a great forward of the old-fashioned style and would work very well with Michael Owen. Of course this all ignores the fact that Martins and Viduka are also on the squad list, but I feel that Ashton and Owen would be the classiest pairing at King Kev’s disposal. Do Geordie fans agree with me?
