Reading 1-0 Tottenham; do Reading deserve to stay up?
May 3, 2008
Today Reading, fighting for their Premier League lives, managed to get soundly beaten by Spurs, who sit in mid-table purgatory with nothing to play for. The score may have been 1-0 to Spurs, but it could have been a lot more with Darren Bent - among others - coming close to adding to Keane’s goal in a silky Tottenham display. Reading were flat in the first half and although they huffed and puffed in the second their best chances came from Liam Rosenior and André Bikey and not their zombie-like strikeforce.
Do Reading deserve to stay up after a limp display against Tottenham?

Got something to say?

The interesting thing about this game was how well Keane, Jenas and Bent combined. Clearly Reading are not top class but their performance gave some credibility to the idea that if Berbatov is sold there is still life at Spurs.
i don’t think they deserve to stay up. last season they put up a performance worth rewarding but this season, they have been a torture 2 watch. they have found it really hard 2 score but really easy 2 concede goals. they lost 7-4 to pompey. not even derby have conceded 7 goals in a single match. they also lost 3-0 to west ham, bolton and newcastle. these are heavy defeats to teams which have also been struggling this season.
they are also 18th in the table after losing 2 spurs 2day. they don’t deserve 2 stay up. besides statistics never lie!!
NO THEY DONT BUT THERE ARE A FEW TEAMS THAT ARE WORSE THAN THEM BOLTON SHOULD GO DOWN WITH BULLY BOY DAVIES HE SHOULD JOIN CHAMBERS IN RUGBY LEAGUE .iAM MORE CONCERENED ABOUT LENNON BEING LINKED WITH THE RED AND THIN FACES LIVERPOOL I TOLD SPURS FANS THAT ALL THE OTHER FANS DOWN IN THE NORTH WES T WERE I LIVE WOULD LOVE HIM TO BE IN THERE SIDES
Surely u cant answer this question until the season is over? if they are relegated then yeah obviously they deserved to go down and if they stay up then clearly they have done enough to do so. as the guy above states the statistics never lie.
