West Ham want £10m pair: ONE good, ONE more trouble than he is worth
by Mr Comfort on May 21st, 2008Alan Curbishley appears keen to beef up his goalscoring options for next season, which is understandable when you consider that when you take Dean Ashton out of the equation, last season’s next top scorer only managed four league goals. And hence the latest rumour relating to possible attacking targets.
West Ham are after an attacking £10m rated pair as Curbishley looks to capture Manchester United striker Louis Saha and Bolton winger El-Hadji Diouf. (The Guardian)
Now I think that when he isn’t plagued by injury (which is pretty much all the time at present), Louis Saha is a 15-goal-a-season striker in the Premier League and well worth considering a bid for, especially if the price is right. However I do not see the worth in pursuing Diouf as I can’t see him doing much forWest Ham. What do Hammers think of this pair? Worth buying or better to steer clear?

Your an idiot, to be frank, sorry mate! Louis Saha is crap, so is Diouf, every west ham person knows about the dirty pig spitting a whufc fans, this wont happen, so stop pushing this crappy rumour.
Plus one thing that you seem to missed out. Supposed to have to seel ashton to finance this …….sellashtomn to buy more ageing crap…..im so fed up of reading this….notice that i can be the only person to make a comment as all the other fans do not want to entertain this.

sorry to say but your both wrong there is no point all these transfer rumours, none of it will happen, bjolgfur is not willing to spend money and west ham have a two hundred million pound debt. bg wants to clear players to get the money, hence the reason we are being linked to lanzfame, as he is a loan signing can take a position and means we can sell a player. in turn making money
i think we will keep green and ashton though but expect alot to go. bjolgfurs long term vision is that west ham get some amazing youngsters and build a young side up that costs the bare minnimum and in the future will make money pretty well. as we will have top class players. this has come from a reliable source in west ham camp

sorry but to me Saha would be a terrible signing as we’re still carrying on with all these INJURY PRONE players if he was always fit i would completely agree coz he is a great player. I thought there were trying to sort the problem out. Its not in the facilities its the bloody players that he’s buying. No-one likes Diouf he’s a great player but I would hate him to play for us. He’s dirty, spits at people n im looking forward to him leavin the country.

@lilsauze- £200m debt? Idiot. We have almost no debt. It was cleared as part of the sale. The only remaining debt is less than £30m on the main stand. These figures were made public knowledge recently, too.
On to the rumour. No thanks to Saha. This is clearly a rumour with no substance whatsoever. Curbs would be mad to risk next season on a striker with injury problems after all that happened this time around.
I’d be happy with Diouf if the price was right. He has undoubted quality and would be good back-up to Bellamy, Ljungberg and Dyer. We need his creativity, and penetration from midfield/flanks.

you are crap we should go for the strikers and if their good then they are brillant

Just had a meeting with aliens from mars and they have said we are signing a top player from mars named Zordak. This has more truth to it than this stupid rumour of diouf and saha, and thats saying something.

I think Westham should go to the local hospital and buy someone in critical condition as they seem to like buying players that can only play five minutes at a time. Maybe buy someone in a coma and stick them in goal.

Diouf is CRAP..Saha is QUALITY!!! he’s better than ashton and cole together….

I personally think Saha is a good player, Diouf crap but either way I can’t see either of these happening considering Saha is another player regularly crocked and Diouf is just being splashed around by his agent (fairly reliable source).
Also consider we already have two fast strikers in Bellamy and the up and coming Sears, the reports about Lanz are also often wrong seeing as he has mostly played on the right wing in Seria B - most lazy reports are reporting him as a striker, true partly but his main position due to this fact is yet unknown at his age.
lilsauze doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about so I strongly suspect he’s a To%enham fan, which often accurately describes an idiot so I’m confident I’m correct - our only debt is 30m which all have known of for years now.
Also many people suggest we have no funds available, we do have funds as actually announced by the chairmen but he is not willing to spend until we trim the squad, new stadium and even sooner new training complex in the works - yeh we’re really in debt and pennyless aren’t we (hint of sarcasm).
Conclusion: this lazy journo crap really does my head in, why oh why can’t our newspapers release facts instead of dreaming up utter crap.

Saha is undoubtedly a good player but far too injury prone - we’d be lucky to get even half a season out of him. As for Diouf, I think if the price is right we should go for him. Sure he has had his disciplinary problems but so did Di Canio and look what happened there, also Diouf has seemed to have matured looking at his performances this season both for Bolton and Senegal

sorry mate but i have to say LMAO, in one sentence u claim to have a realiable sorce telling you that BJ wants to build a young squad firstly this is total shite, and the reason 4 that being the BJ has said himself that u need youth and experience in any team. = idiot and more to the point u think hammers are in 200 mil debt??????? id love to know where u got that figure from as all proper irons fans know that BJ cleared all our dept as part of the buy in claus as well as 50 mil that he made avalible out of his pocket to try and get us out of religation. Please dont write stuff if your not a real irons fan as your clearly not.

Give me 10 million quid, and i will let my 2 girls play next season, my eldest is 100% full of commited and doesnt get injured, and my youngest one, plays fair and hates spitting, have a word, why the hell do we want another injury hit player in saha, and probably the most disgusting waste of space in the premiership, id rather have Forsell and Jimy Bullard, and save a few million.
tony hilson - May 23rd, 2008 at 10:10 am
Just another pair of boa mortes, 1 is completely injury prone and the other thinks he’s too cool for school, personally, id rather use the ten million and try and sign someone like dave kitson for a cut price? everyone can see he can cut it, offload boa morte, ljungberg, cole, and niel and then we can have money to spend on players who look like they play for their place every time they pull on that shirt and step onto the pitch!! now can someone tell curbs to sort his fucking life out!!!!
