Tottenham dive in to steal £10 million Serie A speedster

Seems like Spurs are trying to make sure that Juande Ramos isn’t the only thing they nick from Sevilla, with rumours now flying that the London club are ready to steal Lazio’s Valon Behrami from under the Spanish side’s nose.
The player’s father has been quoted as saying:
“It seems that my son is going to Sevilla. I would prefer Tottenham, Hamburg or Bayern Munich though.”
While Behrami himself admitted:
“The position is complicated,” he said. “I hope to find a solution before the beginning of the European Championship as it would be important to free my head of the thoughts.”
Behrami can play right wing or right back, has good technique, tremendous workrate and quite incredible speed over distance. All things point to him being perfect for the counter-attacking game Juande Ramos likes to play.
Lazio have slapped a 10 million price tag on Behrami which, for those keeping score at home, is just over half a Darren Bent.
So are Spurs fans excited about this one?

Err, who’s the idiot here? Half would be 50%, 10 out of 16 is five eighths, which is 62.5%. Quite a lot more than half I’d say and the comment was a stupid one to start with. It’s dumbos like you on the internet, taking cheapshots, who add further unnecesary pressure, as if there isn’t enough on players like Darren Bent. Quality player and you’ll be eating your words come the end of next season, or changing your name on here, like a typical web-based coward!

Veloso, could play cover for Evra who has no backup.Moutinho, midfield coverup. and Quaresma could play on the left wing.
Huntelaar because he is young and Fabiano is a little old his signing coud be the next Tevez for manchester united

Bent is out of his depth. Sad really, I admire him, but he only made it at Charlton when the whole system played to his needs, and we certainly wont ever play football like Charlton. (Perhaps the most unfashionable team, in all respects, in all football).
As for this Lazio fella, not sure. Would prefer Bentley.

Well said COYS, we only paid a small amount for Bent, with goals and champions league bumping up the price, its about time someone said this cause im sick of repeating myself to my m8s that we didnt spend £16.5m on him.

just to clear up the Darren Bent Fee, we paid £16.5, spread over 3 seasons, which works out @ £5.5m per season, not bad business in my eyes, considering he hardly played and still weighed in with 9 goals..
