Without wishing to overegg the pudding, the proposed signing that appears to be on the cards (at least according to this perhaps questionable source) could really be a hugely significant signing that could signal a real shift in direction for Juande Ramos and his Tottenham side.
Tottenham are set to capture Barcelona wonderkid Giovani Dos Santos and in a deal worth £15m.(Daily Star)
This would really be quite a coup. Giovani is one of the most sought after young talents on the planet. Given that a wealth of talent appears to be leaving Barca it may be that the 19 year old would be better placed waiting to see if he could get a regular spot in the Nou Camp set-up, however he may feel that the Premier League is the place to be and with Ramos in the White Hart Lane hotseat the sky could really be the limit in terms of where the north London side could be aiming. It does seem a long time since Martin Jol was somewhat unjustly fired but now with such a well respected manager in situ it does seem that the best players in the world are do now consider Spurs a viable option. Do Spurs fans feel that such a signing would be a move in the right direction? Does even the potential signing of such a talent signal a seachange at WHL?
