Arsenal and Spurs fight over £8m French ace: Which club is now the better bet?

There is an argument that Spurs are becoming a far better proposition to upcoming stars than their neighbours Arsenal. As if to test this theory, both Wenger and Ramos are reportedly keen on yet another Frenchman who is hitting the headlines.

Arsenal and Tottenham are among clubs battling for 8m rated Caen attacker Yoan Gouffran.

After guiding minnows Caen into the top flight of French football, Yoan has helped them to a respectable 11th-place in their first season back in Ligue 1. Now the 21-year-old is understandably looking to push his way into the full international set-up and, in order to do so, he may well need to leave Normandy. Clearly Arsenal are already supposedly (although it’s best not to believe every rumour you read) interested in fellow Frenchmen Ben Arfa, Benzema and Nasri, so it’s no surprise that another player has been linked with a move to the Emirates.

If you were Gouffran who would you opt for? Do Spurs and Arsenal fans rate the striker?
