Walter Smith is an intelligent manager who has worked wonders at Ibrox, so I very much doubt the following speculation has any basis in fact.
Derby County chairman Adam Pearson has warned Rangers they won’t sign 5m rated Kenny Miller on the cheap.
He said: “It’s nonsense. We’ve invested a lot of time and money into Kenny so the deal would have to be right for Derby County.
“There’s no financial reason for us to sell but, if Kenny wants to go to Rangers and the fee is right, we’ll do a deal.” (various)
Ok lets get this straight. Kenny Miller is hugely overrated, 4 goals in 30 matches is hardly prolific even if it is for Derby. Rangers managed to score 122 goals last season in all competitions, so I really do not think Smith will be held to ransom for the 28 year old. Am I wrong? Is Miller worth buying? Surely not! What do Rangers fans think?

He’ll be a good player in terms of his work rate and his pace, working the flanks, he’s good in terms of scoring goals in europe, kinda like what Lovenkrands was. he’d be a good supportive player for Boydy to get all the goals. A think though 5 million is way too much.
As for Celtic fans rattling on about 4 in a row? you won the league title because you relied on Rangers getting far in europe, that’s the only reason you won the league, chances of Rangers going that far in europe again? rather small my dear friends, so you can royally shove that reality up your fucking arses, you aren’t touching a single cup next season, not even the league, I even know Celtic fans who admit they’d never have touched the league if Rangers got knocked the fuck out by Panathinaikos, how does that make yous feel? sick!? indeed it does.

The Union Jack, and the Saltire are predominant .
On the north Stand I think 8 flagpoles . This was an Idea that went back to Mr Stein’s reign from the 60’s.
The threat of closure for flying the tricolour at Celtic Park still hung over the club from the decision taken be the SFA in the 50’s. Of course this was never activated.
The tricolour has pride and place on the west side, north stand on behalf of Brother Walfrid our founder an Irishmen..
The other flagpoles have various flags from other nations which sometimes changes to suit occasions.
If you search Wikidea? on the Irish Tricolour it would give you some interesting reading re-the values within these colours. As you so rightly point out the Green, White,Orange are correct
Going by memory Thomas Meachen was the man who formed this flag with odd bits of linen/cloth..
A peace offering to both sides of the divide that according to the Wiki? website is the most revered flag in the world.. Infact I would assume any educated person realising the white is a peace offering to both sides would take the opportunity to stand to attention and bow head for the furtherance of peace and goodwill to each other.

Swings and roundabouts - any reasonable supporter of both clubs would acknowledge that the respective Uefa runs gifted the league to the opposition. McLeish acknowledged this at the time and I’m sure that, in private, most Gers fans did to (as I am sure will most Sellick fans this year). That doesn’t mean that on forums such as this, opposing fans will not goad each other. Did you honestly expect Gers fans not to mention it? Do you think that Sellick fans didn’t make the same point after Seville?

Oh and Rangers fans are continually reprimanded about their behaviour in europe albeit only a very small section of the fanbase causes these problems and by no means are Celtic perfect, however trying to say Celtic would be the same is idiotic, when Celtic travelled to Seville and took with them between 80,000 and 100,000 fans there was not one arrest and subsequently the club was awarded a fair play award by fifa for their fans conduct but the statment about rangers having more fans is false and once again you are ill informed ( although im not denying Rangers dont have a huge fanbase, which they do ) the only club in Britain with a larger fanbase worldwide than Celtic is Manchester United FACT!
