Lazio midfielder Gaby Mudingayi is a target of Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.
The £6m rated 26 year old is ready to quit the Lazio this summer and has attracted enquiries from other Premier League sides including Portsmouth and Tottenham. (various)
The Belgian international is hardly a big name and, considering the backward movement of his Lazio side (who finished a rather embarrassing 12th in Serie A last term), I fail to see how Mudingayi offers real value to a squad already possessing a great many defensive midfielders. For instance, is he likely to be any better than Momo Sissoko? Do Liverpool fans want to see bigger name signings coming to the club?
