West Ham battle Fulham and Newcastle for £3m striker: Could be a good bit of business

It seems that West Ham have given Dean Ashton the contract he was after. Now Alan Curbishley is setting about getting more attacking options for his Upton Park side, and with that in mind, he has been keeping a close eye on this Rangers man.

West Ham United, Newcastle and Fulham are after £3m rated Rangers striker Daniel Cousin. (various)

Daniel Cousin was very close to completing a move to Craven Cottage but now may feel that West Ham are a better bet. However, with Kevin Keegan steering Newcastle back in the right direction, the Gabon international may feel a move to St James’ Park would be preferable? The 31-year-old has been a partial success north of the border and has irritated many of his team-mates with some of his comments, and this leads me to ask fans of West Ham, Fulham and Newcastle, is he worth signing?
