Kevin Keegan is apparently keen to start from scratch and in an effort to trim his wage bill he wants to rid the club of some expensive deadwood, and with this in mind Roy Keane’s Sunderland are after just one of these highly paid stars.

It’s incredible to think that Duff is on such a wage, he has been pretty much done nothing to justify that salary, yes he has been injured for large chunks of the two years he has been at the club but even when he was been on the field he has looked a shadow of the player who wowed fans at Ewood Park before his move to Stamford Bridge. If Keegan is presented with a 7m move by the Black Cats then I am sure he will take the money and run. Do Sunderland fans like the idea of Duff in their colours?
