Blackburn consider going ‘Big’ if current manager bolts: Is this the right fit for the club?

The Premier League coaching carousel looks like it’s on the verge of gaining another castoff coach this season after Blackburn made it clear that if current manager Mark Hughes bolts for Man City (or Chelsea — crazy I know), that a certain ‘Big’ man is prepared to take over the managerial duties.

The Telegraph is reporting that Big Sam Allardyce and Blackburn have already been in contact about the possible opening, and that the former Newcastle boss would be keen on a return to the Premiership with the Lancashire club.

Blackburn have reportedly already made contact with Sam Allardyce, who is said to be keen to return to management after being sacked by Newcastle at the beginning of this year.

Allardyce is returning from a family holiday this week, and Blackburn are likely to follow up on their interest in the former Bolton manager shortly. The first task of whoever does take the helm at Blackburn may be to block any copycat transfers. (Telegraph)

The copycat transfers the paper is referring to are the rumours that if Hughes takes the job at Man City, that he’s prepared to take winger David Bentley and striker Roque Santa Cruz with him.

So what’s your take Blackburn supporters? If Hughes does leave, would you welcome Allardyce as the new manager? Or is there another manager out there that you’d prefer to have?
