£10m Ex-Arsenal midfielder on Tottenham’s wish list: Now this could get interesting!

If Tottenham boss Juande Ramos gets his way, the North London derby will have a bit more intensity to it next year, especially if the Spaniard is able to sign ex-Arsenal man Lassana Diarra away from Pompey this summer.

The Telegraph reports that Ramos is prepared to make his second attempt for the £10m midfielder after failing in his bid to sign Diarra earlier in the year.

This is not the first time that Spurs have gone in for Diarra; they approached the French international during the January transfer window when he was contemplating a move away from Arsenal. Understandably, Diarra decided against infuriating the Emirates faithful and opted for a quieter move to the south coast.

Yet, the Frenchman made it known on his arrival at Fratton Park that he viewed the move as stepping stone before moving on if, as he said, “a really big club wants me”. (Telegraph)

Regardless of the fact that Diarra made a quiet exit to Pompey this season, he always seemed to rub Arsenal supporters the wrong way by repeatedly asking for a move away from the Emirates. Now, after a short six-month stint at Fratton Park, he could be making a move to White Hart Lane.

So what’s your take Spurs supporters? Is an ex-Arsenal man welcome at the club? Or would you just assume Juande go after someone else if he’s going to spend £10m?
