Liverpool manager prepared to swoop for £6m Arsenal striker: Arsène would be crazy to sell!

If you’re in the North London area, watch out! There is a pretty good chance that you might see a goateed manager lurking around the Emirates tonight looking to snatch a certain Danish striker from right under Arsène Wenger’s French nose.

It is understood, though, that Rafael Benitez has been quietly impressed with the young forward, who was a key player during a loan spell in Birmingham City’s promotion season of 2006/07.

The Spaniard is reportedly willing to pay around £6million for (Nicklas) Bendtner, but it would be a huge surprise if Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will part with the 22-year-old, particularly to a rival Big Four club. (Fans FC)

Whilst there is a 99% chance that this story is pure paper talk, the thought of Bendtner bolting from London to Merseyside is something that has to worry Arsenal supporters. Bendtner was hot and cold for most of last season, though he did show showcase his brilliant abilities towards the latter part of the year that has to make you think he’s definitely in Wenger’s plans for the future.

So what’s your take Arsenal supporters? Would Wenger ever sell Bendtner to Liverpool for £6m? Or do you think that there’s a better shot of Thierry Henry returning to the Emirates, than the Danish striker moving to Rafa’s Revolution?
