For a while now, this Tottenham man has angered many with his attitude on and off the pitch. It comes as no surprise that the valuation (placed above the chip on his shoulders) is much lower than it was a year or so ago.
Pascal Chimbonda has been told he can leave Tottenham for £2m with Aston Villa, Fulham and Rangers all interested. (Daily Mail)
The French full-back really does flatter to deceive, to be honest he went down in my estimation the moment he handed in his transfer request to Wigan minutes after their final match of the season a couple of years back, not a very subtle example of his using the club as a stepping stone. With Alan Hutton on board, Pascal is certainly worth getting rid of and I don’t think there are many Spurs fans who would be too sorry to see him go! Should Ramos hold out for more than £2m or simply cut his losses?

that is bullshit… evendog I also would use hutton at rightback, he is still a (really) good player and he shouldn’t be sold less than around 8 mill. and not to a potential rival fx portsmouth or aston villa…

CHIMBONDA deserves more respect and find it hard to call those who malign players who are out of favour especially at their low times.
Chimbonda did well for spUrS and genuine fans will wish him the VERY BEST in the future and pray he doesn’t come back and hunt us!

chimbo is a quality player and a great second choice to hutton! he has benn usefull in a number of possitions at spurs, even centre back. keep chimbo imo! especially if only 2 mill is being offered he is a 4-5 million player!

There is a Euro offer for 3.5M and we have turned that down. Why would we sell him to a competitor for less. Where do you get your facts from? Or should I ask?

We paid a sight more than 2 million for him and his play hasn’t deteriorated much, if at all. Sell him sure, but I would expect to get 5 or 6 million for him at least.

I’m really going to miss that self-centered clown with his rasta bands around the socks, turtle neck undershirt, cloves at any temperature, leggings, socks over the knees and of course, above all else, his selfish attitude. Too much of an individual in all the wrong ways. The shame in it all is that he really is quite a solid defender. Despite being irresponsible going forward, the guy rarely got beat and he was seemingly always fit for selection at a number of positions. Dependable to say the least. Fuck him though. He’s not fit to wear the shirt.

But not at 2M … I believe we should get something around 3-4M. He was not an excellent player and definately not top 4 club material but I believe he is EPL quality and many clubs can still use his service. Hutton did not help him at all .. simply outclassed Chimbo!

we should keep him, he’s still a good player, pretty solid in defence and gets forward well and overlaps when we break.
if Hutton gets injured - and all defenders are at risk - then who would we play at RB? He’s better than anyone else we have to cover there. 2m is a small price to pay to have a position covered, even if he spends the whole season on the bench.
not every player is going to be like Robbie Keane. if Chimbonda sulks sometimes and talks about going to bigger clubs, let him. it’s not a reason to throw out a decent enough player. Berbatov does that and we’d all love him to stay.
