Arsenal want £20m mega-swap: Seems like a good deal for the Gunners!

The hunt for an adequate replacement for a certain French player, who decided to seek his fortune at a side not playing Champions League football, continues. Now Arsene may have a deal that could solve the problem, but it would mean losing another player seeking a huge pay rise.

Arsenal want Yaya Toure to be included in any potential deal they strike with Barcelona in regards to Alexander Hleb.

The Catalan giants have been tracking the Belarusian playmaker for some time, with £20million seeming the going rate for his services.

While the Gunners appear resigned to letting the former Stuttgart man leave Emirates Stadium this summer they are keen to ensure that they get the best possible deal.

With a holding midfielder still top of Arsene Wenger’s wish list, Ivory Coast international Toure would be an ideal replacement for the Milan-bound Mathieu Flamini. (sportinglife.com)

25-year-old Toure has been around the block, Kolo’s brother has already plied his trade in Ivory Coast, Belgium, Ukraine, Greece, France and Spain. I have always been impressed by the midfielder’s workload and, despite Barcelona’s relatively poor season, Yaya impressed. Do Arsenal fans think this is a decent swap deal for the club? And what do they think of reported wantaway Belarussian Hleb?
