Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Milan tell Chelsea to do one…

It looks like money doesn’t always get you what you want; a host of European clubs have raised their drawbridges in anticipation of a Chelsea raid.
First up was AC Milan who told Chelsea in no uncertain terms that Kaka isn’t going anywhere. Ever. Leonardo, the technical director at Milan, said:

“It’s normal for a Brazilian coach to try to bring in Brazilian players, but signing Kaka is impossible because he is here at AC Milan and will be here until the end of his career.” (Guardian)

And if Chelsea weren’t teary-eyed enough after that rejection, Liverpool’s Rick Parry ensured that the wind was taken right out of Chelsea’s sails:

“Torres is not for sale, it is as simple as that. He is not going anywhere,”

Torres himself even chirped in, declaring his love for all things Liverpool red:

“I want to say very clearly that I’m not on the market and it is my desire to continue at Liverpool,” I’m very happy at Liverpool and I want to carry on.”

And the dying embers of Chelsea’s dream of a crazed European road trip, picking up signings at every stop were given an extra veto with Bayern Munich giving a similar answer to Chelsea after they sniffed around Franck Ribery. Poor Chelsea, they’ll have to make do with Deco, Villa, Quaresma, and Eto’o – awww diddums!
