£10m-rated Arsenal teen wanted: but he’ll be back!

It appears that one of Arsenal’s brightest sparks is wanted but fans can rest easy as it would only be for a loan move back to La Liga!

Carlos Vela, who spent the entirety of last season on loan at Osasuna to relatively mixed reviews, is due back in north London for the new season with the Gunners.

The Mexican international has begun growing in stature – currently being in scoring form for his national side – but whether he will feature regularly for Arsene Wenger’s side in the 2008/09 campaign remains to be seen.

Real Betis are looking to build on the squad that survived relegation last season, with a young and versatile forward seeming to be a top priority.

With the Gunners unlikely to let any of their forwards go this summer and further rumours that they may be recruiting an extra front-man, it may yet be possible that the 19-year-old, despite obtaining his work permit, could be heading back to Spain.

The player has in fact stated he is looking forward to starting his career with Arsenal and playing in the Champions League. (goal.com)

So, what do Arsenal fans think of the 19-year-old? Should he be drafted in and blooded in the Premier League this coming season? Or would another year honing his skills in Spain be a better bet for one of Arsene Wenger’s treasured possessions?
