Yet more talk of comings and goings at Anfield….
£20m rated England trio Peter Crouch, Jermaine Pennant and Scott Carson remain up for sale at Liverpool.
The cash from the exits is said to be crucial to future incoming transfers (The Guardian)
Rafa apparently needs a great deal of money in order to finance his forays into the transfer market. Therefore, talk of players leaving is rampant. Carson, for one reason or another, doesn’t seem to interest the boss at all and, given that he could get a nice wad of change for the former Leeds man, you can’t blame the Spaniard for seeking to cash in on the England international.
Jermaine Pennant has never won me over and it seems a great many Liverpool supporters are yet to be convinced of his abilities. He does have this knack of running in zig-zags down the wing and then floating over a cross that tends to hang in the air. This is until it invariably goes out of play, having gone at least ten yards over the likes of Peter Crouch, or more often slams into the first defender. Peter Crouch is the one of this three that is worth keeping. Do Liverpool fans agree?
