Spurs to make record £18m winger bid: Could be THIRD quality signing this summer!

This latest Juande Ramos target is real quality and could be well worth shelling out a record fee for…

The latest media speculation is suggesting that Spurs could make a swoop for Valencia winger Joaquín Sánchez Rodríguez.
The 26-yer-old former Real Betis man was thought to be a major target for Inter Milan this summer.
But Tottenham boss Juande Ramos, who is in the middle of a major summer rebuilding project at White Hart Lane could jump the queue for the Spanish international, by persuading him the Premier League is the best stage for him to display his talents on. (East London and West Essex Guardian)

Joaquin is a winger of the old-fashioned style. He beats players for fun and, nine times out of ten, he delivers crosses of real quality, something that the likes of Lennon haven’t managed too often this past season (however that’s a little unfair as I really rate Lennon and am sure he will come good again). The £18m-rated Spaniard seems to have been around for an age and he really would be a top notch addition to the White Hart Lane squad.

He would fit nicely alongside the other recent signings but would probably cost more than the record-equalling signing of the excellent Luka Modric. Do Spurs fans think a new winger is needed at the club, and if so, how do they feel about Joaquin?
