Spurs want record £25m star: Ramos joins the long queue for fantastic finisher!

Having set Euro 2008 alight, this target is now on the Ramos radar….

Media reports claim that Tottenham have entered the race to sign Spanish ace David Villa, writes Sam Lom-bor.
The Valencia striker, who is being scouted by several top flight clubs in England, is said to be keen to stay in Spain and to play for either Barcelona, or Real Madrid.
If Villa did consider a move to England, it seems that it would either be to Liverpool, where the Spanish forward’s international strike partner Fernando Torres currently plays, or Arsenal. Villa before claiming that: “I’m most attracted to Arsenal.”
This competition for Villa has not seemed to deter Juande Ramos and Tottenham, who are determined to bring the Spanish starlet to White Heart Lane, especially if Dimitar Berbatov decides to move away from the north London club. (East London and West Essex Guardian)

I think you can add a million to Villa’s £25m valuation every time he hits the back of the net at the Euro’s (so if he starts against Greece he could be up around the 30m mark!). Do Spurs fans feel Villa would be a decent replacement for Berbatov should the unthinkable happen and he leaves?
