Spurs to bid for £10m striker: Could be a signing as good as Modric!

Life is pretty good at White Hart Lane at the moment, top-class signings already in the bag and yet more on the way apparently…

Germany forward Lukas Podolski has revealed he is tempted by an approach from Tottenham Hotspur.
Reports in the German media have claimed Spurs manager Juande Ramos is ready to pay £10 million to bring Podolski to the Premier League, while Serie A side Juventus are also interested.
Podolski, Germany’s leading scorer at Euro 2008, has failed to cement a first-team place at Bayern Munich despite his importance to the national team.
Jurgen Klinsmann, who gave Podolski his international debut while in charge of Germany, will take over Munich coach next season, but it now appears the Polish-born forward could have left the Allianz Arena before then.
Speaking of the approaches from Tottenham and Juvents, Podolski told German daily Express: “I was informed of the interest of both of these clubs and I find it very interesting.”” (Daily Telegraph)

It does seem that Lukas wants to leave buoyant Bayern and, if Juande Ramos snaps up the Polish-born German, then he will be a great addition to his frontline. Do Spurs want to see Lukas join Luka at White Hart Lane and, more importantly, could they manage to play Podolski as well as Keane and Berbs in their starting eleven?
