Liverpool man to make shocking move: How did this happen!

There are mysteries in the world that can never be explained from the Bermuda Triangle to the unexplained success of Celine Dion but this latest piece of news just leaves me scratching my head….with a chainsaw!

Socceroos captain Harry Kewell is set to sign for Italian Serie A side AS Roma.
Kewell, in Sydney for Australia’s World Cup qualifying match against China on Sunday, is expected to announce the move shortly according to Fairfax newspapers.
Fairfax reported that Newcastle Jets football director Remo Nogarotto acted as an intermediary to secure the deal.
AS Roma have been runners-up in the Serie A for the last three seasons.
Player agent Bernie Mandic refused to confirm or deny a deal had been done.
“I have no comment in regards to Harry whatsoever,” Mandic told AAP.
“We never negotiate through the media.
“I will leave it for the clubs that are interested in Harry to speak about it.”
Kewell was let go by English Premier League club Liverpool after a disappointing, injury-filled five-year stint. (AAP)

How has that happened? Have Roma been watching video clips of his bygone Leeds era and been under the impression that it is in fact 2003? It would be easy to blame Kewell’s inability to perform at Liverpool solely due to injury problems but it goes much deeper than that. Somewhere along the line the Aussie seem to believe his own hype, he had talent he had self belief but he seems to have lost a lot of both and the idea that he would be offered a deal by a club of the stature of Roma is frankly mind boggling. What are Liverpool fans thoughts on the enigma that is Harry Kewell?
