Spurs line up £8m United star: Would be a great signing

Juande Ramos is apparently frantically searching for a new keeper to stick between the sticks at White Hart Lane and this target looks well worth chasing…

Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Robert Green’s contractual situation. The West Ham United goalkeeper is paid about £28,000 a week, which is significantly less than many at the club earn. (The Times)

£8m rated Robert Green is a very good keeper and one of the better custodian’s linked with a move to the north London club. West Ham will be loathed to sell him but I guess the England international will want to have a salary that is nearer to that of his teammates, he is after all an integral part of the Upton Park set up. Do Spurs supporters feel that Green would be a good replacement for the seemingly exit bound Robbo? Do Hammers fans feel that their number one deserves a pay increase to avert a potential departure?
