Arsenal goalkeeping legend is ‘worried’ about player departures - should he be?
by stresster on June 25th, 2008Mathieu Flamini buggered off to Milan as soon as he got the chance, and it’s nigh-on certain that Alexander Hleb and Emmanuel Adebayor will be joining him out of the exit door. Should Arsenal fans be worried? Former goalkeeper David Seaman certainly is, claiming that the loss of the latter would be a big blow for the Gunners, as they attempt to bridge the gap between themselves and the top two next season.
The Daily Mirror report that ‘Seamo’ is optinmistic that Arsene Wenger can wave his magic wand and bring some exciting new talent to the club, although he fears for their chances next season when they keep shedding key players.
“There have been a couple of surprises in the people that have left and when you are looking at the squad, which is not the biggest in the world, it’s worrying.
“Then, when you see the names bandied around that might leave it makes you worry more. Adebayor would be a massive loss.
“No-one knows who he (Wenger) is watching and then he just pulls one out of the hat and everyone says: ‘Where did he come from?’”
Arsenal fans, are you worried about Adebayor leaving or confident that the team can cope without the Togolese striker. After all, he still missed a fair few chances in some of the key matches for the Gunners and it was his dry spell in front of goal which signalled the beginning of the end for Arsenal’s silverware hopes. Do you still trust in Wenger?

wenger is too cautious about signings… if he sees a player performing reli well (e.g villa) he still holds back frm putting in a bid.
whether its the price increase or some other reason he avoids them, he tries to buy the masked talent tht evry1 else overlooks like eduardo, who wasnt a bad signing at all.
i think maybe for once wenger shud jus say to himself ‘fuck it’ n buy a big player.

I’m not worried at all, actually I would be thrilled if we could get a good buck for Ade. Let’s be honest, he is not going to score 30 goals again, and it is not like loosing Vieira or Henry, which proved to be good timing anyway. Don’t worry ol’ Seamo

If Adebayor does go we have to use the money to capture a top striker, It may sound silly but Crouch would be a good signing if you get the right players to feed of him maybe the likes of arshavin, nasri, rvp, playing just behind him or maybe play fabregas there and to holding mids like diaby and buy frings or senna to hold with him,
proabably Frings his knowledge would help diaby grow…………..We also have to monitor the Villa situation if he is available then he is another option…………….

To some people crouch may sound an odd choice but i would ask you to cast your minds back to the quality performance he put in at the emirates last season……………..plus i feel wenger could get more out of him………………..
