Arsenal striker heads transfer list for Spanish club: Could Arsène lose his man?
by offsidetrap on June 25th, 2008After weeks of making Arsenal sweat over a possible move for their big striker, AC Milan has been reserved to the fact that a possible deal for striker Emmanuel Adbayor isn’t in the cards. However, that hasn’t kept another big club from trying to make a move.
Spanish paper, Marca, is reporting that Barcelona is prepared to make Arsenal sweat once again over the thought of losing their goal scoring machine.
Barcelona have made the capture of Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor their top priority. (Marca)
After being linked with Milan for some time, it now appears that Barca is the front runner in the race to sign the Togolese striker. It still remains to be seen in the club could meet Arsenal’s asking price, but with rumours swirling around about Ronaldinho making a move to AC Milan, the transfer fee might not be an issue.
Are Arsenal supporters prepared to lose Adebayor this summer? Or do you think this is just more paper talk from the Spanish press?

Goodbye to mercenaries, Arsenal and Mr Wenger deserve loyalty and if the player does not have that then they can go. Sell him for 30,000,000 and buy Santa Cruz and David Silva or Arshevin and we will be far better off. There is no place for uncommitted players!

if ade goes whatever money comes from ade will be spent very unwisely by wenger on some kid to play in the reserves… comeon now we dont watch the reserves play and who gives a fuckin shit if the reserves win or lose??? its the first team which matters the most…. i cant see wenger signing anymore strikers for the first team… even if he sells ade….he’ll keep hunting for strikers like guiza n villa n podolski n finally settle for a 15 year old kid who wud be playing for the reserves or be on loan for the next 3 years… what happened to our great signing “luke freeman” in the jan transfer window??? he doesnt even feature in our reserves squad…. 2 years down the line he’ll come back from loan n then be sold to a better club… was tat t sole reason y wenger bought him in the jan transfer window??? this policy is quite unhealthy… we had a very good striker in sebastian larrson who was loaned out to birmingham… finally birmingham bought him from arsenal… so it looks like wenger wants to create a talent bank wherin he can loan n sell players rather than buy some good players to win silverware… hope this attitude of wenger changes soon… else we wont be seeing any silverware at the emirates for a very long time….
