Arsenal striker claims his exit will help the club
by stresster on June 28th, 2008Emmanuel Adebayor is fast becoming the new Didier Drogba. The striker’s indecision appears to be there for all to see, firstly claiming (through his agent) that he’s likely to leave for Milan, then stating he’s sticking around at Arsenal, and now declaring that a move could be on the cards again.
Not only that, but the Togolese striker reckons it could be a good thing for the Gunners if they were to lose him. The Daily Mirror reports that Adebayor claims that there would be a huge financial benefit by selling him to Milan or Barcelona for a reported figure of £47million - although will that sort of money really exchange hands?
“It won’t be a difficult decision. If Arsenal sell me, they are going to get £40m, maybe £47m and they bought me for £7m.
“So everyone is getting the benefits. They have to make a good decision and I have to make a good decision as well.”
While the striker may be partially correct by saying the above, it’s surely going to become increasingly difficult for Arsene Wenger to keep unearthing these gems and selling them on for profit. While the big European clubs seemingly prefer to go for players who have proven themselves on a big stage and pay big money, sooner or later they will start getting wiser to Arsenal’s way of accruing players and follow suit.

He didn’t say £40 or £47 million, he said 50 or 60, and they paid 10, but didn’t specify the currency. I’m guessing it was USDollars, so £25 to 30 million Pounds sterling, and if this is the case then Ade, you can go fcuk yourself.
We don’t need you, you’re rubbish, and without Cesc you will get nothing.
Any striker that we bring in will get over 30 goals next season, ade will not be missed, and neither will that bloody rubbish song, which was copied anyway.

30 goals last season but how many missed? Get rid for a nice profit and buy a replacement from the host of availables. I don’t like the sound of the guy any more……there is greed in the air, slowly strangling loyalty.

yeah its definately a win win situation…. ade u can go to milan or barca… whoever pays up the amount we have asked for… nyways ur inefficiency last year doesnt prompt wenger or ny sane person to increase ur wages… ul get paid watevr crap u ask for 4 a year in ther club u move… then they’ll realise ur inefficiency n offload u to a smaller club wher u wont even get wat u get in the emirates right now… so pack ur bags u greedy jerk… n like anelka repent this move for the rest of ur life… we did very well without viera n henry… n im confident we’ll do even better without you prick….

Its players like Ade and Hleb who have made Arsenal a laughing stock. Its time to take a harsh line on these pikeys and make them suffer. I used to really back up Ade when he was heavily critisised during his goal drought but not I to want him out of the door. There are plenty of promising stikers on the market at the moment who would be more than willing to take over the role. 40 -50 million?? Erm na mate! More like 20 - 25million. Let him go to a “great” club and sit keep the bench warm. Use the money to buy David Silva and another quality stiker (E.g. Santa Cruz or Villa).
Jog on off to the end of your career Ade . . . Arsenal doesn’t want you anymore!

I cant believe im reading this crap about we wont miss him, or a win win situation, what utter crap,he was the best striker in the prem last year thats why everyone wants him.Get into the real world this is what footballers and their agents are like ,theirs no loyalty anymore its just a case of show me the money. If we want to improve on last season its important he stays, we have to be prepared to match what other teams are offering or we will suffer i.e flamini.Post number 5 needs to think before he puts his very small brain in gear.

EgoBayor has made comments that i see as digusting towards a club that has helped him so much. i just hope that he goes coz i never want him in an arsenal shirt again n will only warm the bench at the san siro or nou camp
we dont need u we have RVP, eduardo, vela, bendter, walcott maybe so just fuk off…

Jed . . .
No doubt we wouldn’t have done as well last season without him but he’s obviously not commited to the club. If he doesn’t go this time it will be the end of next season. As good as he looks, I don’t see him repeating his success again. We should sell him and cash in on 1 or 2 players who will be consistant and not money driven!

Firing gunner
It is very easy to say cash in and get players in who are consistant ,or he is not committed, look at Ronaldo, united made him. Footballers now are a different breed they are mercenary bastards who dont give a fuck for the fans or the club, out of a whole squad maybe a handfull do.To bring in a player of Ades quality would be hard to find and then it would take a couple of seasons to bed him in.Just give him what he wants so he can say how much he loves the club and he was never really going to leave, and we can all love him again
jj - June 28th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Give him what?? ade is greedy. He is being advised by some greedy people out there……if he wants to go let him go……..Henry left and we did well. The only problem we had was injuries to key players. But that boy is replaceable.if he goes, i am very comfident that we shall get someone even better. There chances he missed, because he cant take a shot.even crouch is better if given chance week in and week out.

guys visit goal.com… n see ade’s comments… the guy says since he’s the hire to henry’s throne he needs to be paid like henry to play like henry…. somebody tell this prick tat wenger can do without him even if he had scored 50 goals last season (which he dint)… considering the no of chances he wasted he was offered 60,000 pounds… but t greedy jerk wants 12,000 pounds per week… the arsenal higher ups are loosing their patience with ade….wenger… pls tell the prick to pack his bags n goto milan or barca… ther he’ll be paid like henry for a season n he’ll be sparsely used… wen they’ll come to know tat he’s useless they’ll send him back to togo wher he can play football with cows n sheep… nice career move adebayor… lose urself…
