Spurs want £40m pair: TWO more quality signings to help achieve top four dream?

With a quality keeper pretty much signed sealed and delivered, Ramos turns his attentions to two long running transfer battles to add to a fast improving Tottenham squad.

Tottenham want Blackburn Rovers England star David Bentley and they also remain keen on Valencia’s £25m-rated Spanish Euro 2008 star David Villa and Comolli knows it is time to deliver.
They have already captured Croatian star Luka Modric, are hopeful of getting Bentley but face daunting competition for Villa who is also interesting Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona. (Daily Mirror)

David Villa is of course being chased by just about every top level club on the planet but recent purchases at White Hart Lane have proved that the north London club can more than handle itself in the transfer market. David Bentley has made his intentions clear about wanting to leave Blackburn Rovers, but having said that new boss Paul Ince has insisted that he doesn’t intend on letting any of his star talent leave so I guess that move is also somewhat at an impasse. The good news for the White Hart Lane faithful is that the oft mentioned dream of a top four finish is looking more likely now than at any other time in recent years now all their supporters will be hoping for is to see the fruits of investment perform on the pitch to the standard that many believe they can. Do Spurs fans think that either Villa or Bentley will join Tottenham or is this mere paper talk or wishful thinking?
