£7m Chelsea ace could be headed for an Italian exit: What’s really going on at the Bridge?
by offsidetrap on June 29th, 2008You have to give the silly season credit; just when you think things can’t get any more confusing, the Daily Mirror and other various sources pop up with new rumours that make you shake your head and wonder what’s really going on.
The Mirror has come up with another audacious rumour, and this one involves everyone’s favourite link between Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard and the non-Special One’s new club Inter Milan.
Lampard has agreed in principle to a four-year deal [with Inter Milan] worth £6m a year, with Chelsea receiving a £7m transfer fee. (Daily Mirror)
However, there’s one problem with the rumour: Chelsea brass have reported that they haven’t even talked to Inter Milan, let alone a verbal statement from Lampard that he’s ready to leave the club. To say that there could be a huge piece of information missing would be an understatement.
That being said, the hot and heavy link between the English midfielder and the Italian club has to raise a massive question: Is the London club prepared to lose their talismanic midfielder this summer?
Lampard made it clear that he was more than willing to talk about a new deal; however, from the look of things, one would wonder if Chelsea feel the same way.
Are Chelsea supporters nervous about losing Lampard this summer to Inter Milan? Will the club up the ante and boost Lampard’s wages? Or is this just more paper talk?

Lampsy won’t leave the Bridge, he is our symbol of hope for next season along with a resurgent John Terry and Big Phil as our new manager - players like Villa or even Arshavin are what’s needed to keep up the goals up front! Shevy and Mikel to go, one’s not right for the Blues and one’s not right for, well, any club hoping to get through a match with 11 players!
Blue is the Colour!

We would be taking a big step back by lettin go of lamps. A chelsea fan realizes his true worth, and he is irreplaceable. Why would u want deco? He is out of sorts, doesnt score that many goals, doesnt defend..it looks like we are takin steps back instead of goin ahead. If lamps goes, it would be the end of an era for us. He has got to stay. period

lampard is irreplaceable not even stevie G could replace him,

oh my god … whats seriously going on at the bridge … its absolutely un thinkable of letting lampard go … he cant .. he has to stay … why doesnt the club just finally end up with a deal … if lampard goes … it may just be the end of the road for chelsea despite having other star players …
this thing has been going on for quite some time now … it scares me ..
n i agree with Bryn … we need players like Villa …. but i wonder why they havent reached on any terms with Villa. … would love to see Villa at Chelsea ..
