Arsenal £4m midfielder deal set to go ahead: Top quality youngster!

According to this target himself, a deal to move to the Emirates is practically a done deal, but will he be a success?

Arsenal are close to securing a deal for Werder Bremen midfielder Amaury Bischoff.
The 21-year-old claims the move is set to go ahead now that Arsene Wenger, who was at last night’s Euro 2008 Final, is returning to London.
It has been reported in France that Bischoff is already in England to have his medical and has been aware of Arsenal’s interest for six months.
Boss Wenger wants to strengthen his midfield after Mathieu Flamini joined AC Milan, although Bischoff admits he will probably have to wait for a chance of first-team football.
The Portugal Under-21 international said: ‘A few details are still to be finalised, but I’m hopeful I’ll sign in the next few days. Arsenal are a step higher [than Werder].’
Injuries have hampered his career and he said: ‘I think I’ll play for the reserves first to recover my fitness. Then it’s up to me to earn my place.’ (Daily Mail online)

Having begun his career in France, the £4m-rated battling midfielder moved to Werder where he has made his way through the ranks, despite long bouts of injury lay-offs. Clearly he is a talent that Arsene has been tracking for some time, but are the player announcements a tad premature or have the Gunners really signed another potential young gem?
