Tottenham’s shock £10m bid for shiny new striker gets the cold shoulder: Will the club up the ante?

After tracking player’s from La Liga for the last couple of weeks, Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is apparently now interested in bringing in someone with a bit of Russian flare to the club. It’s just too bad the striker’s current employer isn’t interested in making a deal.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Juande’s move for Spartak Moscow man Roman Pavlyuchenko will remain nothing more than a pipe dream for the time being after Spartak rejected a £10m offer.

Tottenham it seems has been linked with everyone under the sun recently, so like most rumours, I’d probably take this bid with a grain of salt. However, with the rumours swirling around about Robbie Keane moving to Liverpool, you have to wonder if this could be Juande’s contingency plan if he does decide to move.

Just how many strikers do we need ,last year was a farse because our back four were useless, we are as good going forward as anything in the league our priority is defence ,we give up to easy on Richard dunne hes the player we desperately needed. Us Spurs fans have to get some satisfaction out of the comments made on most posts by Gooners. They are so bent that they have won NOTHING for 3 years that they troll around sites calling us mid table, the Spammers a yo yo team, but you don’t see or hear from them on any ManU or CFC sites. I know, I checked.
They absolutely hate the fact that we won a trophy last year.
We were 5th. twice in the last 3 years. That hardly makes us mid table.
We have been in Europe 3 years running. Hardly the accomplishments of a mid table team.
You bitter Gooners remind me of people who whistle when they walk through graveyards. You’re all scared out of your life that we might pass you in the league. After all we have already passed you in number of trophies won in the last 3 years.
