£10m Spurs man heading to United: Should Ramos think again?

Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan is very keen on this seemingly unwanted winger.

Tottenham have told Newcastle they will have to pay £10million if they want to lure Aaron Lennon away from White Hart Lane.

Lennon is said to be aware of Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan’s interest and is keen on making the move to the North East to be nearer to his Leeds roots.

The England international is under contract to Spurs for the next four years but is surplus to requirements with Juande Ramos interested in signing Blackburn star David Bentley. (Eatsleepfootball)

21 year old Lennon had an out of sorts season last term and hence all the hullabaloo about a potential exit from White Hart Lane. Reports vary as to whether he is part of Juande Ramos’s long term plans, one thing is for sure and that is that the former Leeds man suffered a serious lack of confidence for large chunks of last season. This led to lacklustre displays which saw the diminutive winger fail to beat men and deliver poor crosses on a regular basis. It’s not surprising that Newcastle want Aaron, he could do wonders for them and if Tottenham do decide to offload him then they should quite easily meet the £10m valuation.
