Liverpool ready to say so long to £10m ‘Crouchigol’ striker: Pompey’s persistence pays off!

Oh, it looks like we’re finally going to get our first happy ending of the summer! After much debate and discussion, it appears that Pompey will finally link-up with the striker they couldn’t seem to live without.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Rafa has finally come to his senses and realized that £15m for wantaway striker Peter Crouch was an offer than not even Chelsea were crazy enough to pay. In the end, the goateed-one will be more than happy to let Crouchy go for £10m after all.

To be honest, this is more than I think most expected Crouch would be going for when Rafa put him up for sale this summer. Like the deal between Villa and Liverpool for Gareth Barry, the battle between Pompey and Liverpool has gone on long enough. It only seems right that the one club that really wanted to Crouchigol dance at their club is going to get it in the end. Plus, it appears the £10m will be coming at the right time with Liverpool just a couple million quid away from landing Villa midfielder Gareth Barry.

Are Pompey supporters excited about the prospect of having Crouch at the club next season? How much of a difference will he have on the frontline?
