Benitez is fast assembling a damn fine crop of young talent and the Spaniard has just secured a fine striker for the future.

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Denmark youth international Nikola Saric from Herfolge.
The 17-year-old talent has moved to Anfield ahead of the new Premier League season but will initially look to impress in the club’s youth and reserve ranks.
Big things are expected of Denmark’s Under-17 Player of the Year though and Saric admits he cannot wait to start his adventure in England.
“Of course, I want to join Liverpool FC,” Saric told Herfolge’s official website.

“I will get to train with the big names over there and develop in the reserves. It is a tremendous chance for me and I am very happy.

“Since I feel the time is right and that I am mature enough for a new challenge, we have been waiting for the right club to come with an offer.”
Saric will hope to join Krisztian Nemeth and Dani Pacheco at the forefront of a new generation of Liverpool hopefuls looking to make a first team. (Skysports)

It’s good to see Rafa continuing to build a great foundation for the future and it’s a very cost-effective way to prepare for the ongoing mission to clinch that elusive Premier League title. Clearly Liverpool has a good scouting network that spreads far and wide, and the fruits of that labour have already been seen in the first team with the successful inclusion of the likes of Jack Hobbs.
